And after the festival… The Rules of Engagement returns

The Culture Capital Exchange presents 2 exclusive events for its members interested in promoting and presenting their ideas to the media.

Making It Real

Many people dread TV and radio interviews – even when they have years of experience and expertise in their field. But whether it’s facing the question you’d really rather avoid or being asked to ‘dumb down’ your brilliant research, the right training and preparation can get you out of difficulties and into an interview where you really connect with the audience.

Working with TV producers and directors, the HayesCollins team will give you hands-on experience of realistic interviews, together with direct but supportive coaching designed to help you make the most out of every media appearance.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with HayesCollins Media to be able to offer a full media training package for the special discounted rate of £200 for TCCE members. Places are strictly limited to 6 and offered on a first come first served basis.

Thursday 22 November 2012
10am – 4.30pm, The October Gallery
You can find out more about the training at www.hayescollins.co.uk.

Pitch Perfect?

Richard Shaw, Executive Director of Lion Television and pitching maestro leads an informal and informative session aimed at academics at all stages of their careers who would like to gain an insight into how the commissioning process works behind the scenes.  We will also look at how best to present yourself  and your ideas in a range of different situations and contexts.  Join Richard for a glass of wine at the new King’s Cultural Institute for a briefing that is likely to be as entertaining as it is informative.

You can see more information about Richard here.
