Bruckner Symphony No. 7 in E
Bruckner's monumental seventh symphony was said to be, in part, a reaction to the death of the composer's idol Wagner two years earlier. Deeply spiritual and expansive, it nevertheless ends in triumph. Sir Colin Davis conducts this open rehearsal with the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra in a programme which also includes two Mozart favourites.
