
This fascinating discussion, part of Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion, centres on the challenges and complexities of designing for performance. This high profile, multidisciplinary panel includes insights from Trevor Carlson, Executive Director of Merce Cunningham Dance Company; renowned Fashion Historian Caroline Evans; architect Annie Kwon; and Jessica Bugg, Director of Performance (Programmes) at the London College of Fashion.
Design for Performance coincides with Barbican Theatre’s season celebrating the work of renowned choreographer Merce Cunningham, whose 1997 work Scenario featured costumes by Rei Kawakubo.
